IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN. I John Keene Smith of the parish of St Olaves Hart Street in the City of London being of sound mind and in memory but weak of Body do make this my last will and testament in manner and form following. First I recommend my soul into the hands of almighty God hoping for pardon and remission of all my sins through the merits and mercy of his dear son Jesus Christ and as to put worldly goods wherewith it hath pleased god to bless us I give and Bequeath them all both real personal unto my Dear Daughter Sarah Smith. And I so constitute and appoint her my sole Executrix of this my last will and Testament and I do hereby revoke all former wills and declare this to be my last will and testament made this eighth day of February 1785 JOHN KEENE SMITH is signed sealed and delivered and declared to be the last will and testament in the presence of us whose names and seals are hereunto affixed Charles Smith, John Smith.
THIS WILL with two codicils was proved at London on the twenty second day of February in the year of our Lord 1785 before the worshipful ……..Harris Doctor of Laws surrogate of the Right Worshipful Peter Calvert also Doctor of Laws Master keeper or commission of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the Oaths of Philip …………..and Matthew Horedus ….and Robert Smith and William Porsole the executors named in the said will to whom administration was granted of all and singular the Goods and Chattels and credits of the said deceased having …….sworn duly to administer.
THIS WILL was proved at London the twenty eighth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty five before…………..constituted by the oath of Sarah Smith, spinster the daughter of the deceased and sole Executrix……………………
